Social Bowls

Come along and join in the fun!

Social bowls is all about having fun in the outdoors while getting some gentle exercise. It is open to all members and visitors. Social competition is great for new bowlers; they can quickly improve their skills and knowledge. 

When can I come and play?

Social bowls

This is held every Wednesday for most of the year. The games start at 12:30 and finish at approximately 3:30 p.m., and Names must be down by 11:30 a.m to allow those arranging the games time to work out the teams.

Twilight Barefoot Bowls

We also hold Twilight Barefoot Bowls which start on 1st Tuesday after Melbourne Cup in November for six weeks leading up to Xmas. We then take a break for the Xmas period and recommence on the last Tuesday in January and then every Tuesday evening until mid-March each year.

Registration

Ring the clubrooms on 0481 486 221 to have your name put down before 11.30 am. Alternatively, contact our Secretary Emma on 0477 993387, who can assist with any questions you may have. You can call into the clubhouse to meet with the folk preparing the greens and/or the clubhouse.

Game Format

Generally, participants play two or three games of 8 in teams of up to four players, but this is sometimes varied depending on the number of players. Once the competition has finished, teams assemble for a short while in the clubhouse to participate in a brief presentation ceremony and have tea or coffee (complimentary), or you can purchase cold drinks from the bar.

Dress

Mufti (neat casual clothing) and flat-soled shoes.

Cost

All players pay $10 for green fees which covers all the games played on the day.

Bowls for Loan

Bowls are available for loan to members and visitors. The club has equipment and facilities to enable bowlers with disabilities to bowl.
